  Hello this is my first blog post.

    How effective technology integration can promote learning in our students if is used correctly; always promoting student creativity, evaluating student knowledge, help students in problem solution.   In 602 class I have learn that in order to move my students forward in this digital world we are living in; the change should start with me.  Our world is changing drastically in the past decade in our schools and the ways of teaching context and curriculum have to change to adopt and embrace the advantage of the digital world. Our students needs to be prepared to become digital savvy to be part not only in their community; they need to be prepare to solve problems at global scale.  More than ever we are far in distance and close at of finger tips with internet communication, that their problem becomes ours and combine we can get a solution. 

    This new transition come with barriers that we can’t ignore therefore, I need to overcome knowing that technology adds value to what I teach, technology can transform the curriculum to one more productive, more engaging adding value in different learning levels and ages groups. The integration of technology it's more complex than only using computers, power points or google slides, is using the technology to activate in our student problems/solution skills, creativity and the ownership of their own education. How to form an idea to became even greater idea to solve problems and issues anywhere in the world. 

  In this technology integration I need to be aware of the many barriers this technology integration prevents me to reach my goals.  The lack of time, class time, training, access of technology, social and administrative support and funding are barriers that I can't control. For this I'm going to focus in the ones I can control by changing my mentality, be more informed on changes in technology’s new ways, incorporating technology more effectively,  and to be more proactive and positive at the time of learning new technology skills. 

One intake that I take from some of our readings are that knowledge changes precedes behaviors change and by developing a common vision of how to effectively use technology to accomplish educational goals is the first step towards changing practitioners knowledge and attitude about technology integration(Fullan 2001) Ertmer (2005) further indicates that modeling, reflection and collaboration are good strategies to show teachers what technology do for the students.
